This spiral is about hard work. Sometimes creativity is easy like paddling downstream and other times it's like navigating the rapids. How do you sustain your focus when other things compete for your attention? What do you do when you lose interest in a project?
I always like to start with a plan. For years I used this template inspired by the principles of Feng Shui to organize every area of my life. It was a helpful tool for reflecting on balance and imagining what I wanted for myself in different areas of life.
Now I find I go where the energy is and leave the plan more open to surprise. I commit to create every day. Sometimes when a project is important, I commit to that project. Creativity has evolved from being something on the 'to do' list to an ongoing relationship that is imperfect and sometimes not understood. By leaving space for the unexpected, my creativity has expanded in ways I could have never predicted. This week play with going with the flow and see where it leads you!
